How to Measure Cubicle Curtains
Cubicle Curtains are custom made and not returnable. Therefore, it is extremely important that measuring is done precisely and correctly and that this information is accurately conveyed to Omnimed, Inc.
- Measure track as if square and add 10% for curtain width.
- Measure floor to ceiling and deduct clearance from floor. Floor clearance is typically 12" but could be 6" to 18".
- Standard height of mesh is 20". Shorter meash is available. For mesh heights greater than 20" to 40", choose white or beige.
Width Measurement
The width of a cubicle curtain is determined based on incremental cut widths. Fabrics that are 72", 54" or 26" wide are calculated based on cut width increments of 18"; 48" fabrics are based on 24" increments. Exceptions occur when there are unusual or large pattern repeats. The finished width of the cubicle curtain will be narrower than the cut width to allow for seams and hems. This will not create a problem where adequate fullness has been allowed for.
Measuring an Existing Curtain
To determine the actual curtain size you require, you may measure an existing curtain you are satisfied with. Note: the width you will be stating is a finished width and it will automatically be adjusted to the next cut size. The height will already have some shrinkage and this will need to be considered in determining the height of a new curtain.
Measuring a New Curtain
Measure the track that the curtain is to hang on. Add 10% (or more if preference is for greater fullness) to track measurement over 9'. Add 15% for track measures 9" and under.
Height Measurement
The height of a cubicle curtain is determined based on the distance from the track to the floor with allowance for adequate clearance above the floor based on individual preference. Typically, floor clearance is between 12" and 15".
Measurement Example
You measure track to be 130"
Add 10% or 13"
Total is 130" + 13" = 143"
Order next cut size -144".
You measure distance from track to floor to be 107".
Subtract floor clearance of 12".
Total is 107" - 12" = 95".
Order this as 95" high (all heights are finished 1") |
